Christianity is not a religion.
And the church is not a building.

Christianity is not a religion. It's a relationship. The church is not a building. It's a body of believers (and we better get our act together). After all, we don't have the best reputation.

Regardless of our denomination, we expect people to come to us. Then dress like us. Talk like us. Act like us. Pray like us. And follow the same rules as us. But it’s not about us. It's about Him. And it's also very much about them. (Basically, It's about everyone except us.)

Living the salt and light life is not about dedicating one hour to church on Sunday. Authentic Christian living is a lifestyle. A mindset. A matter of the heart. And it comes with a 24/7 open invitation from God. (Seriously, the invitation renews itself every day!) Because even though we all fall short over and over again, God still wants to collaborate with us. And make the mundane, magical.

The salt and light life is about creating with the Creator. How amazing is that? The Bible says you are the clay and God is the potter.

Let's be clear: The salt and light life is not a call to be more religious.

Jesus didn't really jive with the churchy folks, especially the religious leaders.

In fact, Jesus spoke out about how the Pharisees dressed. How they acted. How they talked. And how they prayed. He wasn't real fond of all their rules either. Jesus was a rebel.

Just sayin'.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
